Divisions and Eligibility
RRHA Reining and Ranch Riding classes are not NRHA-approved classes. Ownership requirements will follow NRHA guidelines.
RRHA membership is required to receive awards. To be eligible for RRHA Year-End Awards (including year-end buckles and the Rookie Saddle), both a current RRHA membership and horse nomination must be completed prior to class entry.
RRHA Reining Classes

RRHA Ladies / Gents
Open to riders of all levels. Commonly used as schooling classes.
RRHA Mares / Stallions / Geldings
Open to riders of all levels. Commonly used as schooling classes.
RRHA Freshman Horse Reining
For horses in their first year of showing in any discipline.
RRHA Open
Open to all riders, including Open Professionals, Non-Pro, Amateur, and Youth.
RRHA Limited Open
Open to riders with less than $7,500 in NRHA earnings from the prior year.
RRHA Novice Horse Open
For horses with an earnings cap of $5,000. Open to riders of any level.
RRHA Novice Horse Non-Pro
For horses with an earnings cap of $5,000. Rider must meet Non-Pro eligibility requirements.
RRHA Non-Pro
Open to riders meeting NRHA Non-Pro eligibility requirements.

RRHA Intermediate Non-Pro
For Non-Pro riders with $7,500 or less in earnings from the prior show year.
RRHA Prime Time Non-Pro
For Non-Pro and Amateur riders age 50 and older as of January 1.
RRHA Masters Non-Pro
For Non-Pro riders age 60 and older as of January 1.
Green & Rookie Divisions
RRHA Green as Grass
For Non-Pro, Youth, and Amateur riders in their first year showing NRHA.

May ride one- or two-handed using any legal bit.

May ride a horse owned by someone else (including non-family members).

Not jackpotted (no prize money paid).
RRHA Green Reiner Level I
(Refer to NRHA Green Reiner eligibility.)
For Non-Pro, Youth, and Amateur riders with:

Less than $200 lifetime reining earnings (from all shows, not limited to NRHA), Fewer than 75 NRHA Youth points, or Fewer than 200 Green Reiner points.
Riders may ride one- or two-handed and may ride a horse owned by someone else (including non-family members).
RRHA Green Reiner Level II
(Refer to NRHA Green Reiner eligibility.)
For Non-Pro, Youth, and Amateur riders with:

Less than $350 lifetime reining earnings (from all shows, not limited to NRHA), Fewer than 175 NRHA Youth points, or Fewer than 350 Green Reiner points.
Riders may ride one- or two-handed and may ride a horse owned by someone else (including non-family members).
RRHA Rookie Reining
For Non-Pro, Youth, and Amateur riders with:

Less than $500 lifetime reining earnings (from all shows, not limited to NRHA), or Fewer than 200 NRHA Youth points.*Not to have won Rookie year end award through RRHA prior

For Non-Pro and Amateur riders age 50 and older as of Jan 1.

For riders ages 14–18 as of January 1.

RRHA Ranch Riding 10 & Under Walk/Jog
For youth riders age 10 and under as of January 1. Riders may not cross-enter into lope classes.

RRHA Snaffle Bit / Hackamore (5 & Under)
Open to horses five years old and under shown in a snaffle bit or hackamore only.

Less than $5,000 lifetime Ranch Riding earnings (from all shows).
