Those early years helped shape her deep appreciation for the partnership between horse and rider.
In 1994, Joedy discovered the sport of reining, and it quickly became her true passion. Since then, she has dedicated many years to learning, riding, and supporting the discipline. As a board member of the Rogue Reining Horse Association, Joedy is proud to be part of a community that promotes the sport, encourages riders of all levels, and celebrates the western horse tradition she love
Joy White -
Joy has spent a lifetime in the saddle, guided by a passion for horses that began at just five years old. Starting out on ponies, she quickly developed her skills and love for the sport, moving into Western pleasure and Western trail. In her younger years, she was also actively involved in a junior mounted drill team, building a strong foundation in horsemanship and teamwork.
Like many, Joy took time away from the arena to focus on family, but her connection to horses never faded. At the age of 30, she returned to riding with a new focus on reining—marking the beginning of a long and rewarding chapter in performance horse disciplines. Over the years, she expanded her experience into reined cow horse, cutting, and ranch horse versatility, gaining a well-rounded appreciation for the working western horse.
Today, at 70, Joy continues to ride and compete in ranch riding, bringing decades of experience, dedication, and heart to everything she does. As a board member of the Rogue Reining Horse Association, she is proud to support and encourage riders of all levels, helping to grow the community and share the passion for horses that has shaped her life
